What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Foster HSE as a core value of the Compass corporate culture
- Ensure adherence to company HSE Policies
- Collaborating on the development of HSE Procedures and Practices
- Collaborate on the development of HSE Bulletins and Alerts
- Collaborating on the development of Hazard Assessments
- Participating in the Incident Investigation Process
- Ensure the timely completion of Worker’s Compensation reporting in the other coordinator’s absence.
- Responsible for maintaining HSE documentation, SDS Manuals and Training Matrix
- Coordination of internal and external Training initiatives
- Coordination of HSE testing initiatives, including hearing, pulmonary and post-incident
- Participate in and lead company HSE meetings (Retro-fit, Manufacturing, & Field Service)
- Maintain Personal Protective Equipment supplies
- Provide advice on a broad range of HSE issues and decisions
- Coordinate new hire HSE orientations and facility tours
- Participate in auditing initiatives for COR and company compliance
- Coordinate Contractor HSE orientations and facility tours, while enforcing compliance.
- Oversee all COI correspondence between clients and the broker.
- Manage vehicle registration for all fleet vehicles (including executive) across Canada.
- Oversee ELD logbooks, asset tracking, and driver-to-vehicle assignments.
- Handle trailer registration and annual CVIP preparation for trucks and trailers.
- Maintain compliance across seven registry portals, meeting all client requirements.
- Serve as primary contact for Field Service and Retrofit operations, address questions and resolve concerns
- Lead weekly and monthly operational meetings to track performance and support management.
- Conduct monthly divisional meetings (Field Service).
- Attend Weekly Production meetings as necessary, and bi-weekly management updates (Manufacturing)
- Drive safety initiatives, including Safety Blitzes, field-based technician support, and quarterly branch compliance visits.
- Facilitate field service day trips with technicians and field orientation for site access (Canada).
- Initiate and manage all required documentation and data entry supporting sales and field service.
- Build and maintain a strong safety culture at field locations; ensure legal compliance across branches.
- Outfit employees (Retrofit PMs, technicians, manufacturing, and field personnel) with appropriate field gear.
- Manage safety and fleet supplies for manufacturing and field operations.
- Support ERP development, training, and related initiatives (e.g., fire drills, emergency response plans) across all Canadian locations.
- Ensure company qualifications (e.g., quality control credentials) are clearly communicated to clients.
- Oversee all USA registry accounts and train Robynn on registry compliance.

Education, Skills and Experience
Your education and experience include:
- Completion or active enrollment in a post-secondary occupational health and safety program, equivalent post-secondary education or trades certification
- 3 years of previous experience consulting on HSE topics to various clients
- 1 to 2 years of experience in an HSE role with experience in the administration of HSE programs, delivery of HSE training, workshops and meetings, and collaboration with key stakeholders for the implementation of HSE initiatives
- Intermediate knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
- Experience in the trades in both the manufacturing and field service divisions is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong organization, planning, time-management, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Comfortable interacting with management, employees, visitors, and government agencies
