Reporting directly to the Regional Service Manager, the Field Service Technician will assist with the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and components. Conduct preventative maintenance activities and identify parts for replacement. Assist with commissioning and start-up of new equipment.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Overhaul, maintenance, and repair of gas compression engines as well as back-up diesel generators.
- Provide detailed record keeping and present detailed daily time sheets to customers.
- Recognize opportunities to improve service offerings.
- Communicate daily with the Assistant Service Manager.
- Perform quality work in a timely manner.
- Place high priority on safety of oneself and others and abide by the company’s safety policies and procedures.
- Promote the Compass Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
Education, Skills and Experience
Your education and experience include:
- Skilled trades person.
- Experience in troubleshooting ignition & instrument panels would be an asset.
- Knowledge & experienced in package start-up and commissioning would be an asset.
- Combined Screw and Reciprocating compression experience would be an asset.
- Prior certified engine or compressor training would be an asset.
- Ability to work in remote locations and be away from home for short periods of time and stay in hotels or camps.
- Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing with good driving habits and a clean Drivers Abstract.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Well organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
