Compass is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to provide general HR administrative support to the production facilities and the overall workforce in support of the HR department. As an ideal candidate, the HR Administrator will have solid communication skills and proven experience maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents, and updating internal databases.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Recruitment administration including maintaining job descriptions, internal and external postings, pre-screening candidates, booking interviews, and conducting reference checks
- Preparation of HR correspondence including offer letters, contracts, and verification letters for Field Service and Manufacturing.
- Manage the new hire onboarding process, pre-employment background checks and drug and health assessments through DISA, manage new hire paperwork and assist with benefits administration
- Assist HR team with the application and administration of policies and programs as required
- Maintain accurate HR employee files and the electronic files in the HR Drive
- Respond to general employee enquiries and escalate when appropriate
- Assist with maintaining regular HR reporting such as headcount reports, turnover reports, and trends
- Supporting HR – related training programs, workshops, and seminars.
- Continuously learn the lasted HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.
- Occasionally support Health Safety and Environment as needed
What You Bring
Your education and experience include:
- 2-3 years of administration or coordination experience in a Human Resources or Operations Administrative role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working and communicating with both professionals and skilled trades, as well as past experience in manufacturing
- Independent working style with above average verbal and written communication skills
- High level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment specifically MS excel and word
