Reporting directly to the Manager, Retrofit, the role of the Project Manager, Retrofit is to ensure the success of the project from the purchase order stage through to job completion.
This is a technical role that will partner with Sales, Field Service, the Customer, and all other cross functional teams to ensure the success of the project. Success in this role means executing the project on schedule and within budget without compromising quality or safety, as well as meeting or exceeding customers’ expectations.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Responsible for full project flow and management as per Project Management processes, including but, not limited to project initiation, kick off, execution, monitoring & controls, delivery and job close
- Review and understand client specifications as related to projects, ensuring built projects are reflective of agreed deliverables
- Sizing and selection of all system components based on required performance
- Development of P&ID’s and Layout drawings with the Project Designer
- Development of Bill of Materials
- Interacting with the Project Designer to produce all assembly and fabrication drawings
- Sign off on all drawings ensuring their accuracy and completeness
- Maintenance of your Engineering, Design, and Construction schedule
- Issue change orders and revised schedule for customer requested scope changes
- Successfully complete projects on budget and on time
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, production and service to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and quality of final product
- Job site visits as required for successful project execution
- Participate in training and educational programs as required for ongoing success of the position
- Develop and maintain department policies and procedures including Engineering/Design, Safety, HR, and QA/QC.
- Assist with mentoring new Project Managers and Designers
Education, Skills and Experience
Your education and experience include:
- Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering Technologist
- 3 – 5 years of gas compression industry experience
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) is required
- Excellent communication skills that promote long-term mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders.
