Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Technician is responsible for providing systems support to the company offices and for the day-to-day operations of the company’s computer systems.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Desktop support to resolve hardware and software technical issues across local and remote locations
  • Procurement and deployment of hardware/software including the installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and end user training on PC’s, laptops, network equipment, peripherals, etc.
  • Mobility support and administration including cell phones and air cards for local and international travel, manage day to day issues with cell phones and mobile data
  • Active directory and exchange support and troubleshooting
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
  • Document internal procedures

Education, Skills and Experience

Your education and experience include:

  • Relevant Information Technology Education is required
  • A minimum 3 years of hands-on industry experience working within an engineering, sales, and manufacturing environment
  • Network experience in multiple locations, interprovincial, and cross border environment
  • Hands on experience in a support role with software programs such as Office 365, SharePoint, NAV, AutoCAD, Adobe, etc.
  • Must be self-motivated and team oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Highly competent with advanced hardware and software skills including Microsoft Office
  • Duties are subject to change at any time according to the needs of the location or company.  Other duties may be assigned, in addition to or in lieu of, those described above.
