Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for the vessel designs, calculations, material requirements and database management.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Work with the Project Managers to meet customer requirements for vessel designs
  • Produce Code calculations for pressure vessels
  • Release material orders for purchasing
  • Review and approve vessel drawings for shop fabrication
  • Submit designs to ABSA for registration
  • Manage design database, calculations and drawings logs, etc.
  • Assist in developing in-house as well as client specifications

Education, Skills and Experience

Your education and experience include:

  • Engineering Technologist education is a must
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a vessel design role
  • Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, ASME B16.5
  • Familiar with COMPRESS software for vessel design
  • Solid Works design experience an asset
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
