Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the Project Execution and Quality teams in the successful management of project related documentation in accordance with Compass operating procedures and engineered standards.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Coordinates documents to ensure department goals are met. Distributes project generated documentation within appropriate network drives.
  • Assisting in the release of engineering documentation to the shop and vendors
  • Build customer data books
  • Scanning and organization of production documentation required for data books.
  • Create and maintain Master Document Registers (MDRs) and send transmittals to customers and vendors as required.
  • Assist in production and revision of business procedures and documentation
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner
  • Attend and participate in project meetings

Education, Skills and Experience

Your education and experience include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a Documentation coordination role with considerable experience in records management, document control or information management.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to prioritize workloads within various projects
  • Working knowledge of document repositories, document life cycle, file structure and naming convention
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with all trades & professionals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask & prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of an efficient quality assurance program
  • Strong team player and able to work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Lifting 10 pounds maximum with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Must meet all OSHA regulations and must wear all required PPE when in the shop environment.
