Responsible for ensuring that the building, equipment, and tools are kept in a safe and in efficient working condition.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Adhere to PPE requirements, HSE rules and regulations.
- Working as part as a team as well as working independently.
- Assist in the repair of shop equipment, preventative maintenance, tools, and the facilities.
- Minor plumbing, electrical, millwright, welding, mechanical, HVAC, and carpentry duties
- Maintaining landscape / parking lots.
- Assist in completing necessary documentation and work orders as directed by the Supervisor of Maintenance.
- Requires employees to use a computer and other office equipment, such as a copier, printer, telephones, etc.
- Requires operation of heavy equipment such as a crane, forklift, welding equipment, skid steer, and aerial lift.
- Mentoring apprentices
- Requires physical stamina including standing, bending, kneeling for long periods of time.
- Working in a loud and smoky environment, inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Driving company vehicle in between sites or picking up material.
Education, Skills and Experience
Your education and experience include:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical, millwright, or electrical related maintenance work
- Mechanical, Millwright, or Electrical related training
- Driver’s license
