Product support/improvement duties will include providing technical support to the Field Service Branch locations.  The role will work closely with the Director of operations, Director of Engineering and the Product Support Lead to close the feedback loop that must exist to provide constant quality improvement.  Any package deficiencies or improvements that are not caught/incorporated in fabrication and surface in the field must be identified and brought back to the manufacturing/shop start up team.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Product Support:
  • Participate in unit walk-throughs for packages on the shop floor
  • Provide on-site engineering support when necessary
  • Liaise with Client field contact to determine requirements and schedule for unit commissioning
  • Provide noted unit deficiencies and associated parts availabilities to Service personnel if required
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to Service Technicians for compression and process units
  • Incorporate a constant improvement culture based on field feedback
  • Review warranty job files and maintain allocations and submissions
  • Review Service commissioning reports, client feedback, and field vibration analyses for all compression packages.
  • Product Improvement:
  • Participate in Model Reviews with Engineering and Design to provide feedback
  • Participate in Sales kick offs to review job scope and provide feedback to applications group.
  • Facilitate with operations group quarterly updates regarding Engineering/Design/Production changes that have resulted from the Service Commissioning, client, and field vibration feedback loop.
  • Attend Engineering meetings to provide feedback for the field and applications where possible.
  • Incorporate a continuous improvement culture based on field feedback

Education, Skills and Experience

Your education and experience include:

  • Engineering Degree, Engineering Technologist or other related discipline
  • Experience in Gas Compression or rotating machinery and fabrication process considered a strong asset
  • Able to develop and maintain customer and vendor relationships
  • Must be self-motivated and team oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Competent with computer software including Microsoft Office.
