Reporting directly to the Team Lead – Scheduling, this position is responsible to work in conjunction with the Project Execution, Shop Supervisory and Purchasing teams to develop and update production plans based on sales opportunities and booked orders.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Release and maintain production orders and routings.
  • Review material status to support shop dates and work with the cross functional teams to mitigate any identified risks in support of business goals
  • Schedule and lead production meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment on priorities.
  • Work closely with QC, Warehouse and Purchasing to facilitate the transaction of material substitutions, returns and scrap.
  • Work closely with project management to ensure that contractual dates are adhered to and all internal deliverables are achieved on time per the schedule baseline.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in a cooperative and supportive manner
  • Identify and participate in continuous improvement opportunities/activities

Education, Skills and Experience

Your education and experience include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years planning/scheduling in a manufacturing setting utilizing MRP tools
  • Results oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Project (Enterprise Version)
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Experienced with Navitas ERP
  • APICs Certification

Physical Strain

Include an intro to physical strain

  • Standard requirements.  Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting and reaching will all be required occasionally in this position
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Lifting 10 pounds maximum with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • May be required to work at heights of up to 25 feet
  • Must meet all OSHA regulations and must wear all required PPE when in the shop environment.
